On 3rd February 2018, Lean In India and their event partner Sheroes, brought together recruiters, organizations, educational institutions and counselors to provide a bridge to women on a career break. The event was organized at Gurgaon where organizations like LinkedIn, Womenite, LeanTrackFlow, Shopclues, HerSaga, HGS, SPJIMR, GPE, WeDoSky,ReBoot, EDTimes,CA and IndianWomenBlog participated. The session began with a welcome note about Lean In India by the founder Rashmeet Kaur. it was followed by an experiential Workshop on the Gig Economy and Future of Work for Women. This was succeeded by a informative workshop by the Kloud team on freelancing, followed by a presentation on higher education after a career break led by SP Jain Institute of Management Research.
Khyati Gupta thrilled our participants with her practical inputs on building brands for ‘Impactful Comeback’ which was tied in beautifully with ‘Rock your profile’ session by LinkedIn. After this there was a panel discussion on the theme ‘Restart Her Career – finding solutions and enabling women to get back to work’. The panelists included Gopika Kaul, Co-Founder, Reboot, Tania Chatterjee, L&D Head of Delivery, India, Royal Bank of Scotland, Jyothsana Vasudevan, HR Lead, Shell Lubricants, Asia Pacific and Middle East, Ruchita Taneja Aggarwal, Business Development & Strategy Head, Clix Capital, Shivani Banerjee, Associate Vice President, Hinduja Global Solutions, Sunita Thawani, Founder, Full Circle, Vineeta Dwivedi , Associate Head, SPJIMR& Post Graduate Management Programme for Women.
The session concluded with a networking and ‘meet the recruiter’ session with some of our partners. This event led to more than 20 women being shortlisted by these organizations. Apart from this, more than 50 women were offered “Work from Home” opportunities.
